Courier cost is 12 dollars ? They employ couriers, they pay sick leave, vacation etc. 12 dollar paid out to courier equals 24 dollars total cost (social security paid for that courier). So per delivery order, takeaway is losing huge according to ur reasoning. But it retents customers so it a win!
Great analysis but you need to discuss the GRUB acquisition and its implications for TKWY. GRUB is bleeding market share to UBER and DASH, and TKWY paid a premium for it.
hi, great blog. just on a side-note, TKWY seems to be a favourite short. As of March 10th, 10% of float was held by shorts. Not sure if it is a case of being listed in Europe, or a case of just really bad PR vs other competitors. That said, actions speak louder than words, and the CEO has an outstanding track-record. Keep on buying.
what are your thoughts on the sare price movement in recent days?
Jet isnt free anymore, they have increased their fee to 1.5 euro per delivery.

This logic is pretty straightforward:
It’s Friday Night and I would like to get a cheeky Nandos
However, there is a pandemic so I can’t go out to Nandos
So, I search Just Eat for Nandos
There is no Nandos on Just Eat
So I Google ”Nandos delivery” and found that Deliveroo would deliver Nandos
I download the Deliveroo app and order Nandos
In order for Just Eat to keep that customer from going to another app, it has to offer logistics (Nandos). It is a customer retention tool.
100% retarded

Stock will re-rate if they walk away from the GRUB acquisition
Will discuss on $GRUB in due time.
